The early bird gets the State Assembly seat.
Templeton Unified School District Trustee Jordan Cunningham announced today his campaign to replace termed out GOP lawmaker Katcho Achadjian in the 35th State Assembly district. That’s for the 2016 election.
“Each day, I stand up for taxpayers and work to defend local residents and business owners,” Cunningham said in a press release. “As our next Assemblyman, I’ll provide a voice for the region that I have always been proud to call home.”
Cunningham’s release touched on all the important GOP talking points: taxpayers, public safety, business owners. More interesting than the content of the release is who sent it. Cunningham’s campaign will be managed by Matt Rexroad, a top-notch GOP consultant who has consistently racked up big wins on the Central Coast.
The 35th Assembly District spans San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties.
