Santa Barbara Republican Party Endorses Jordan Cunningham for Assembly

Templeton, CA – Today small business owner and candidate for Assembly, Jordan Cunningham, announced that he has received the endorsement of the Santa Barbara County Republican Party.

“There is one candidate in this race who has the experience we need in Sacramento, who will fight for the Central Coast, and that’s Jordan Cunningham,” stated Chairman Dale Francisco. “Jordan has prosecuted criminals, defended taxpayers, and stood up for small business. He will be an exemplary Assemblyman.”

Cunningham grew up on the Central Coast, where he attended local schools. After earning his law degree from U.C. Berkeley, Cunningham went on to work for the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., where he developed a passion for public safety.

After returning home, Cunningham served as Deputy District Attorney in the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted hundreds of crimes – including fraud, assault, domestic violence, and environmental crimes. Today, Cunningham and his wife operate the Cunningham Law Group, which serves clients across the Central Coast.

Cunningham is the President of the Central Coast Taxpayers Association, and currently serves as a member on the Board of the Templeton Unified School District. In his spare time, he coaches youth baseball, soccer, and flag football.

“The hardworking members of our community need someone who will stand up to Sacramento politicians and the tax increases and regulations they impose on the rest of the state, which only threatens our ability to earn a living,” Cunningham responded. “I am honored to have the support of the Santa Barbara County Republican Party, because we share a mutual goal of protecting small business owners and working families.”

In addition to the Santa Barbara Republican Party, Jordan has received the endorsements of the San Luis Obispo County Republican Party, the National Federation of Independent Business, the California Small Business Association, the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, and a number of local leaders, including sitting Assemblyman Katcho Achadjian.
