Santa Barbara County Supervisor Steve Lavagnino endorses Cunningham for Assembly
Templeton, CA— Former Deputy District Attorney and candidate for Assembly, Jordan Cunningham has received the endorsement of Santa Barbara County Supervisor, Steve Lavagnino.
A native of Santa Barbara County, Lavagnino was elected as a County Supervisor in 2010. On the Board, he has provided a voice of reason – helping to pull back on extraneous expenditures and protect taxpayer dollars while balancing the county budget. Moreover, Lavagnino has been an advocate for the region’s veterans, and was a driving force behind Veterans Stand Down, an annual event that aims to provide services to homeless veterans.
“Jordan is a proven leader who will provide us with a voice in Sacramento,” said Lavagnino. “He shares my problem-solving approach to issues. I look forward to working with Jordan to make sure the Central Coast remains one of the best places to live, work and raise our families.”
Born and raised in San Luis Obispo County, Cunningham returned to the area in 2010 and became a Deputy District Attorney. In this capacity, he prosecuted a wide variety of cases, including fraud, assault, domestic violence, and environmental crimes. His experience and relationships have earned Cunningham the support of numerous public safety leaders, some of which include District Attorney Dan Dow and Sheriff Ian Parkinson.
Jordan has become a leader in the community in other areas as well. In addition to his professional pursuits, Jordan serves as the President of the Central Coast Taxpayers Association and as an elected member of the Templeton Unified School Board. As an Assemblyman, he will continue to advocate for putting the best interests of children and the taxpayer first.
Jordan Cunningham lives in Templeton with his wife, Shauna, and their four children.
