Public Safety Leader Endorses Cunningham for Assembly
Templeton, CA— State Assembly Candidate Jordan Cunningham has received the endorsement of San Luis Obispo County District Attorney Dan Dow. As a former Deputy District Attorney, Cunningham spent a number of years working with Dow, prosecuting criminals in the courtroom and increasing the level of safety for central coast communities.
“Jordan Cunningham is a friend, former fellow prosecutor, San Luis Obispo County native, and family man who will represent the 35th Assembly District with high energy and commitment to our communities’ needs,” said District Attorney Dow.
It is clear that Cunningham’s work on behalf of San Luis Obispo County victims has made a lasting impression on his former colleague. During his time as a Deputy DA, Cunningham prosecuted a multitude of offenses – including fraud, assault, domestic violence and environmental crimes.
Dow commented on Cunningham’s experience and his ability to provide the Central Coast with a voice, “Jordan’s background as a prosecutor, business friendly attorney, and as an advocate for victims of crime like domestic violence provide him with the right experience we need to represent us in Sacramento.”
When Cunningham is not in the courtroom, he spends much of his time protecting taxpayers and local business owners as the President of both the Central Coast Taxpayers Association and SLO County Lincoln Club. As an Assemblyman, Cunningham will look to use commonsense fiscal policies to provide the pragmatic leadership needed to create local jobs and opportunity for working-class families.
In his closing remarks, Dow explained, “Jordan’s priorities will be to keep our Central Coast safe while working hard to energize our business climate to ensure we continue to enjoy our high quality of life on the coast.”
Jordan Cunningham lives in Templeton with his wife, Shauna and their four children.
