Longtime Community Leader endorses Cunningham for Assembly
Templeton, CA— Former Deputy District Attorney and candidate for Assembly, Jordan Cunningham has received the endorsement of Ray Johnson, the former Mayor of Atascadero and a Vietnam veteran.
During the Vietnam War, Johnson served as a combat search and rescue pilot as well as the commanding officer of a Navy Helicopter squadron. After retiring from the Navy and returning to California, he has spent the last 30 years using his leadership to help strengthen the central coast region. Johnson spent 8 years on the Atascadero City Council, served as the President and CEO of the Economic Vitality Corporation, and is currently an executive member for A Better Atascadero (ABA).
“I have known Jordan for many years and have worked closely with him over the last couple of years,” said Johnson. “Jordan is an intelligent, focused person who has a keen grasp of the issues. His ability to work with people, to develop logical arguments for legislative positions and his tireless energy to solve problems make him an outstanding candidate for the California Assembly. Jordan has my fullest confidence and endorsement to be our next representative in the 35th Assembly.”
Cunningham currently serves as the President of the Central Coast Taxpayers Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to taxpayer education and advocacy for fiscal responsibility. In addition to his work protecting taxpayers, Cunningham is an elected member of the Templeton Unified School District and a dedicated volunteer for numerous youth organizations.
Before Cunningham started his work with Adamski, Moroski, Madden, Cumberland & Green, he spent a number of years as a Deputy District Attorney for the San Luis Obispo County DA’s office. During this time, he prosecuted those accused of fraud, domestic violence, assault, and environmental crimes.
Jordan Cunningham lives in Templeton with his wife, Shauna, and their four children.
