SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA- Assemblyman Jordan Cunningham has been endorsed by Santa Barbara County Supervisors Peter Adam and Steve Lavagnino.
“Jordan has been a great partner in helping Santa Barbara County residents find relief from the fire tax and helping secure tax credits for agriculture in our county. He has continued to be a voice of reason for us in Sacramento, said Santa Barbara County Supervisor Peter Adam.
Cunningham was first elected to the Assembly in 2016. Since then, he has focused on cutting red tape for small businesses on the Central coast by getting AB 657 signed into law last year. This bill ensures that all state agencies host a small business liaison that advocates for employers and holds bureaucracies accountable.
After graduating from Atascadero High School, Cunningham graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a degree in physics. He then obtained his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
Cunningham worked in Washington D.C. as an attorney in private practice, a federal law clerk, and an attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice. He later returned home to become a Deputy District Attorney in the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office. He now represents individuals, families, and local businesses as the owner and founder of Cunningham Law Group.
