Jordan Cunningham endorsed by Crime Victims United
Templeton, CA— Small business owner and candidate for Assembly, Jordan Cunningham has received the endorsement of Crime Victims United (CVU).
CVU is a national organization that advocates on behalf of crime victims and their families, and is dedicated to working with law enforcement to enhance public safety and reduce the rate of violent crimes.
“As a former Deputy District Attorney, Jordan Cunningham spent years of his life prosecuting criminals and keeping them off our streets, while providing justice for the victims he represented,” stated CVU Chair, Harriet Salarno. “Jordan’s public safety experience and ability to work with law enforcement organizations will be critical during this time of increased turmoil.”
Born and raised on the Central Coast, Jordan Cunningham earned his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley. After graduating, Cunningham worked as a federal law clerk and as an attorney for the United States Department of Justice, eventually moving back to San Luis Obispo County to serve as a Deputy District Attorney.
“Public safety is the cornerstone responsibility of government, but irresponsible policies such as Prop 47 and prison realignment have tied our local law enforcements’ hands behind their backs,” said Cunningham. “Sacramento policies need to focus on helping law enforcement and keeping our communities safe. When elected, I will use my experience to provide common-sense solutions to these problems that have been created by politicians.”
Crime Victims United is not the first public safety organization to endorse Cunningham’s campaign. Numerous local and statewide leaders and associations have offered their support, including: San Luis Obispo County District Attorney Dan Dow, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff Ian Parkinson, Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown, the California Association of Highway Patrolmen, and the California State Sheriffs’ Association.
Jordan Cunningham is the former president of the Central Coast Taxpayers Association, member of the Templeton Unified School District Board, and the owner of Cunningham Law Group. He lives in Templeton with his wife, Shauna, and their four children.
